inside the room.
I spent a decade in restaurants, then opened one of my own and watched it close. Tabled is what that decade taught me, built for everyone still trying to keep their doors open.
I came up in restaurants.
I'm Anthony. I have spent most of my life in restaurants. I started on a dish pit and worked my way up to lead general manager, running multiple stores before I opened my own place.
Most people who build software for local business study it from the outside. I built Tabled from inside the room. I know what a slow Tuesday costs, what one bad review does to a Friday, and how it feels to watch a feed you cannot afford to fight.

A bigger room and a faster pace. We expanded the kitchen into a second market, and learned first-hand how hard local reach really is.
The food was right. The room wasn't.
Yoke closed. Hard, public, and expensive. Mine didn't make it five years. I have sat with that, and I have written about it.
Tabled
Not another restaurant. The platform every shop, studio, salon, and restaurant should have had to begin with. Built from inside the room, not from a pitch deck.

Tabled is the counter-bet. A zip-code-first network where real storefronts, events, and neighbors are the whole feed, ordered by proximity, not engagement.
You reach nearby locals, keep the margin, and keep the relationship. Every operator application is read by hand. Built in Indiana, by someone who lived the problem.

Chronological and zip-code-first. Your feed is your town — not what a model thinks will keep you scrolling.
I lost the room. I never lost the reason.
Yoke closed. That loss is not a footnote in my story. It is the foundation of it. The room taught me that a business is never only a business. It is a place people belong to. Community, connection, and culture are not a strategy I chose. They are the compass I steer by.
I know the fight to be seen. Doing the work while a feed hands your whole neighborhood to a stranger three states away. That fight is not a season you pass through. It is a way of life, and it is worth living.
So here is the bet I am making with mine. Technology should give people back to each other. It should make belonging easier, not louder.
